syncmail didn't install gracefully. it has IOErrors with
stdin or something, due to the way it forks (the reason for
which i cannot understand).

Whoops, I should have looked at the whole list first.
Syncmail is in Python and I'll take Python over Perl any day.

hiss-commits is becoming more and more necessary, so we can
be better aware of changes to the code.

Mailing lists hiss-commits and hiss-devel would be nice. 
They should be mailman, to continue our pattern of choosing
py-based software (among other reasons).
